Cardiff & District League
The Cardiff & District League is an amateur football league covering the city of Cardiff and surrounding areas in South Wales. The leagues are at the seventh to tenth levels of the Welsh football league system.
History
The league was founded in 1897 and is one of the oldest amateur football leagues in Wales. The current champions are Cardiff Academicals, who won the Premier Division in 2022-23.
Structure
The league is divided into four divisions: Premier Division, Division One, Division Two, and Division Three. There are also a number of cup competitions, including the League Cup, the Challenge Cup, and the President's Cup.
Teams
There are currently 37 teams in the Cardiff & District League. Some of the most successful teams in the league's history include Cardiff City Reserves, Cardiff Corinthians, and Cardiff Grange Albion.
