Introduction
The Canterbury Wed amateur football league is a Sunday league football league based in Canterbury, Kent, England. It was founded in 1907 and currently has over 60 teams competing in 10 divisions.
The league is affiliated to the Kent County Football Association and is recognized as an official Sunday league by the Football Association.
The league season runs from September to May, with each team playing 20 matches. The top two teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated.
The league also has a cup competition, the Dave Elliot Memorial Charity Shield, which is contested by the winners of each division.
