Burton Albion Community Trust Veterans Summer League
The Burton Albion Community Trust Veterans Summer League is an amateur football league for men over the age of 35. The league was founded in 2014 and is run by the Burton Albion Community Trust, the charitable arm of Burton Albion Football Club.
The league is played on a monthly basis during the summer months, with matches being played on Friday nights at the Burton Albion Community Trust Hub, which is located next to the Pirelli Stadium. Matches are played at 7pm and 8:15pm.
The league currently has around 10 teams competing, with players ranging in age from 35 to 60. The teams are all local to the Burton area and include a mix of former professional footballers and amateur players.
The league is a great opportunity for players to keep fit and active during the summer months, and to make new friends. It is also a competitive league, with the teams battling it out for the title and the chance to lift the trophy.
