Bromley & District League
The Bromley & District League is an amateur football league based in Bromley, Greater London, England. It was founded in 1905 and currently has 10 divisions, ranging from the John Cooper Premier Division to the Richard Ayling Second Division.
The league is affiliated to the Football Association and is a member of the South East Counties Football League. The top two teams from the John Cooper Premier Division are promoted to the Kent League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Jim Hampson First Division.
History
The Bromley & District League was founded in 1905 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The first season consisted of just six teams, but the league has since grown to over 100 clubs.
The league has been won by a number of well-known clubs, including Bromley, Cray Wanderers, and Welling United. In recent years, the league has also produced a number of professional footballers, including Michael Mancienne, Michael Kightly, and Jake Forster-Caskey.
Current Season
The current season of the Bromley & District League is the 2022-23 season. The John Cooper Premier Division is currently being led by Eden Park FC, while the Jim Hampson First Division is being led by Farnborough Old Boys Guild FC.
The league season runs from August to May, with each team playing each other twice. The top two teams from each division are promoted, while the bottom two teams are relegated.
