Bristol Churches Association Football League
The Bristol Churches Association Football League (BCAFL) is an amateur football league based in Bristol, England. It was founded in 1969 and currently has 30 clubs competing in three divisions.
History
The BCAFL was founded in 1969 by a group of churches in Bristol who wanted to provide a competitive football league for their members. The league started with just eight clubs, but it has grown steadily over the years and now has 30 clubs.
The BCAFL is affiliated to the Bristol & District Football Association (BDFA) and follows the BDFA's rules and regulations. The league season runs from September to May, with each club playing each other team twice. The top two teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the lower division.
Current Season
The current season of the BCAFL began on September 2, 2023. The teams competing in the three divisions are as follows:
- Division 1: Castle Green, Clevedon Family Church, Edge Church Pistols, Life Church, One Church, Rock Crusaders, St. George's FC, Thornbury Baptist Church, Woodlands (Bristol) FC
- Division 2: Bath Churches United, Cairns Road Corinthians, Kingswood United, Redland United, St. Andrew's United, St. Paul's United, St. Peter's United, Staple Hill United, Trinity United
- Division 3: Brislington United, Eastville United, Fishponds United, Filton United, Horfield United, St. Werburgh's United, St. Mary Redcliffe United, Westbury United
