Brightlingsea & District (Amos) Charity Cup
The Brightlingsea & District (Amos) Charity Cup is an amateur football league in Essex, England. It is affiliated to the Essex County Football Association and is currently in its 98th season.
History
The league was founded in 1925 by Amos Brightlingsea, a local businessman. The inaugural season consisted of 10 teams, all from the Brightlingsea area. The league has since expanded to include teams from across Essex.
Format
The league is divided into two divisions, Division 1 and Division 2. Each division consists of 12 teams. The top two teams in each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the previous division.
The league also has a cup competition, the Brightlingsea & District (Amos) Charity Cup. The cup is open to all teams in the league. The current holders of the cup are Roman Rovers.
