Bridgend and District Football League
The Bridgend and District Football League is an amateur football league covering the town of Bridgend and surrounding areas in South Wales. The leagues are at the eighth, ninth and tenth levels of the Welsh football league system.
History
The league was founded in 1919. The original league consisted of just four teams: Bridgend Town, Bryncoch, Pentyrch and Sarn Athletic. The league has grown steadily over the years and now consists of over 30 teams.
The league has been won by a number of different teams over the years, including Bridgend Town, Brynna, Pencoed Athletic and Maesteg Park.
Current Season
The current season is the 2022-2023 season. The Premier Division is currently being led by Brynna, with Pencoed Athletic in second place and Maesteg Park in third place.
The league also has a number of cup competitions, including the Court Colman Premier Division Cup, the Nathaniel Car Sales Cup and the Bridgend & District Challenge Cup.
