Introduction
The Bracknell Town & District Sunday League is an amateur football league in Bracknell, Berkshire, England. It was founded in 1972 and currently has 4 divisions, with a total of 60 teams.
The league is affiliated to the Berks & Bucks County FA. The season runs from September to May, with each team playing 22 matches.
The top two teams in each division are promoted, while the bottom two teams are relegated.
The league cup winners are also promoted, regardless of their league position.
History
The Bracknell Town & District Sunday League was founded in 1972 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The inaugural season had 10 teams competing in a single division.
The league has grown steadily over the years and now has 4 divisions, with a total of 60 teams.
The league has produced a number of talented players who have gone on to play professional football, including Mark Chamberlain, who played for Arsenal and England, and Michael Gilkes, who played for Chelsea and Millwall.
