Bournemouth Youth Football League

The Bournemouth Youth Football League (BYFL) is an amateur football league for children and young people in the Bournemouth area. It was founded in 1963 and currently has over 100 affiliated clubs.

Age Groups

The BYFL caters for players from Under-7 to Under-18 level. The age groups are divided into two divisions: Development and Competitive.

  • Development: This division is for players who are new to football or who are not yet ready for competitive football.
  • Competitive: This division is for players who are more experienced and who want to play competitive football.

Bournemouth Youth Football League action

The BYFL season runs from September to May. The league cup competition is played in the summer.
