Blackpool and District Youth Football League
The Blackpool and District Youth Football League (BDYFL) is an amateur football league for youth players in the Blackpool and Fylde area of Lancashire, England. It is affiliated with the Lancashire FA.
History
The BDYFL was founded in 1922. The original league consisted of just six teams, but it has since grown to over 100 teams. The league currently has teams competing in age groups from Under-7s to Under-18s.
Structure
The BDYFL is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One. The Premier Division is the top division, and the teams in this division compete for the BDYFL Premier Division Trophy. Division One is the second tier, and the teams in this division compete for the BDYFL Division One Trophy.
The BDYFL also has a number of cup competitions, including the BDYFL Challenge Cup, the BDYFL Presidents Cup, and the BDYFL Fair Play Trophy.
Current season
The 2023-2024 season is currently underway. The Premier Division is being led by Blackpool Juniors, while Division One is being led by Lytham Juniors.
