Bishops Stortford & District Amateur Football League
The Bishops Stortford & District Amateur Football League is a football league in the English county of Hertfordshire. It was founded in 1923 and currently has 15 clubs competing in two divisions.
History
The league was founded in 1923 as the Stansted & District League. It was renamed the Bishops Stortford & District League in 1951. The league has been expanded and contracted several times over the years, but it has always been based in the Bishops Stortford area.
The league's most successful club is Bishop's Stortford Town, who have won the title 12 times. Other successful clubs include Sheering, Stansted, and North Weald.
Current Season
The current season is the 2023-2024 season. The Premier Division is currently being led by Sheering, with North Weald in second place. The Division One title is being contested by Hatfield Heath and Atletico Corinthians.
