Birmingham County Women's League

The Birmingham County Women's League (BCWL) is an amateur football league for women in the West Midlands, England. It is affiliated to the Birmingham County FA.

History

The BCWL was founded in 1992. The inaugural season consisted of 10 teams. The league has grown steadily over the years and currently has over 30 teams.

Structure

Birmingham County Womens League action

The BCWL is divided into two divisions: the Premier Division and Division One. The Premier Division is the top division and consists of the 12 best teams in the league. Division One is the second division and consists of the remaining teams.

The top two teams in the Premier Division are promoted to the FA Women's National League Division 1 Midlands at the end of the season. The bottom two teams in the Premier Division are relegated to Division One.

The top two teams in Division One are promoted to the Premier Division. The bottom two teams in Division One are relegated to a lower league.

Current season

The 2023-24 season is the 31st season of the BCWL. The Premier Division champions are Balls To Cancer Ladies FC. The Division One champions are Birmingham Medsoc Women First.
