Bedriftsfotballen
Bedriftsfotballen is an amateur football league in Norway. It is organized by the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) and is open to all teams of employees from businesses, organizations, and other institutions.
The league has been in existence since 1972 and currently has over 10,000 teams participating. There are leagues at all levels, from beginner to advanced, and teams can compete in their local area or in national competitions.
History
Bedriftsfotballen was founded in 1972 by the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) as a way to promote physical activity and social interaction among employees. The first season saw 120 teams participate, and the league has grown steadily since then.
In 1995, Bedriftsfotballen became a fully-fledged member of the NFF. This gave the league access to more resources and helped to increase its popularity.
Structure
Bedriftsfotballen is divided into regional leagues. Each league is further divided into divisions, based on the level of competition. Teams play each other in a round-robin format, and the top teams in each division qualify for promotion to the next level.
The top division in Bedriftsfotballen is the Bedriftsfotball Eliteserien. This league is contested by the best teams in Norway and is played on a national level.
National competitions
In addition to the regional leagues, Bedriftsfotballen also organizes a number of national competitions. These include the Bedriftsfotball Cup, the Bedriftsfotball Superfinalen, and the Bedriftsfotball Fair Play Cup.
The Bedriftsfotball Cup is a knockout competition for teams from all levels of the league. The Bedriftsfotball Superfinalen is a match between the winners of the Bedriftsfotball Eliteserien and the Bedriftsfotball Cup. The Bedriftsfotball Fair Play Cup is a competition for teams that have demonstrated good sportsmanship.
