BB Old Boys
BB Old Boys is an amateur football league in Northern Ireland. It was founded in 1922 by former members of the 24th Belfast Boys' Brigade company. The league currently has 12 teams competing in a single division.
History
The BB Old Boys' Union League was founded in 1922 by former members of the 24th Belfast Boys' Brigade company. The league initially had 8 teams, but this number has grown over the years. In 1990, the league changed its name to the BB Old Boys' Amateur Football League and joined the Northern Amateur Football League.
The BB Old Boys' Amateur Football League has produced a number of talented players over the years, including former Northern Ireland internationals Sammy Nelson and Keith Gillespie.
