Barcarlays Amateur Football League
The Barclays Amateur Football League is an amateur football league based in England. It is the top tier of non-League football in England, below the Football League.
The league was founded in 1896 as the Southern League. It was renamed the Barclays Amateur Football League in 2012 after Barclays Bank became the league's title sponsor.
The league consists of 22 teams, divided into two divisions. The top division is called the Premier Division, and the bottom division is called the First Division.
The winners of the Premier Division are promoted to the National League North or National League South, while the bottom two teams in the Premier Division are relegated to the First Division. The winners of the First Division are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two teams in the First Division are relegated to the Combined Counties League.
