Introduction
The Bahrain Amateur Football League (BAFL) is a platform for 11 aside amateur football in Bahrain. It was founded in 2020 with the aim of promoting, fostering and developing the game of football in the country, without discrimination against any organisation or person for reason of race, religion or politics.The BAFL currently has three competitions: the BAFL Premier League, the BAFL Shield and the Diogo Pires Cup. The Premier League is the top tier of competition, and is contested by the best amateur teams in Bahrain. The Shield is a knockout competition, and the Diogo Pires Cup is a youth competition.
The BAFL is affiliated to the Bahrain Football Association (BFA), and its matches are played at various venues around the country. The league has a growing membership, and is committed to providing a fun and competitive environment for amateur footballers in Bahrain.
