Ashford & District League
The Ashford & District League is a Sunday league football league in Kent, England. It was founded in 1960 and currently consists of four divisions, with over 100 clubs participating. The league is affiliated to the Kent County Football Association and is eligible to enter the FA Sunday Cup.
History
The Ashford & District League was founded in 1960 with just one division of 12 teams. The inaugural season was won by Newtown Ramblers FC. The league has since expanded to four divisions, with Division One being the top tier. The league has also introduced a number of cup competitions, including the Bodkin Cup, the Division One Cup, the Division Two Cup, the Division Three Cup, and the Shebar Trophy.
Current Season
The current season is the 2022-2023 season. The Premier Division is currently being led by Market Hotel FC, while Division One is being led by Aldington FC. The Bodkin Cup is being contested by Ashford Dynamo FC and Egerton FC, while the Division One Cup is being contested by Mersham Sports Club FC and Shadoxhurst Sunday FC.
