Introduction
The Army FA Northern League is an amateur football league in England, administered by the Army Football Association. It is one of three regional leagues in the Army FA, along with the Army FA Southern League and the Army FA Western League.The league was founded in 1906 and currently consists of 21 teams playing across three divisions: Division One, Division Two, and Division Three. The teams are all based in the north of England, with the majority coming from the Yorkshire and Humberside region.
The league is played on a Saturday afternoons, with each team playing each other once in the regular season. The top two teams in each division are promoted to the next higher division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the next lower division.
The winners of the Division One title are promoted to the Northern Premier League Division One North, while the winners of the Division Two title compete in a playoff with the runners-up of the Division One and Division Three titles to determine the final promotion spot.
