Allied Counties Youth Football League
The Allied Counties Youth Football League (ACYFL) is a primary competition for 16 to 18 year olds at semi-professional clubs across the Thames Valley.
The league was founded in 1972 and currently consists of 36 clubs divided into four divisions: Central, North, East, and West.
The ACYFL season runs from September to May, with each team playing each other once in the regular season. The top two teams from each division qualify for the playoffs, with the winners of the playoffs being crowned champions.
The ACYFL is a competitive league with a strong tradition of developing young players. Many former ACYFL players have gone on to play professional football, including Ashley Cole, Michael Carrick, and David James.
