Alkhaboura Amateur Football League
The Alkhabbura Amateur Football League is an amateur football league in the United Arab Emirates. It was founded in 2005 and is currently made up of 12 teams. The league is played on a round-robin basis, with each team playing each other team once. The top two teams at the end of the season qualify for the promotion play-offs, with the winner being promoted to the UAE Second Division.
History
The Alkhabbura Amateur Football League was founded in 2005 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league was originally made up of 8 teams, but it has since expanded to 12 teams. The league has been won by a number of different teams, with Al Ain Club being the most successful team, having won the league 5 times.
Current Season
The current season of the Alkhabbura Amateur Football League is the 2023-2024 season. The season began in September 2023 and is scheduled to end in May 2024. The current standings are as follows:
- Al Ain Club (20 points)
- Al Jazira Club (18 points)
- Al Wahda Club (16 points)
- Al Shabab Club (14 points)
- Al Nasr Club (12 points)
The top two teams at the end of the season will qualify for the promotion play-offs, with the winner being promoted to the UAE Second Division.
