Alan Boswell Group Cambridgeshire Girls and Women's Football League
The Alan Boswell Group Cambridgeshire Girls and Women's Football League is an amateur football league for girls and women in Cambridgeshire, England. It is affiliated to the Cambridgeshire Football Association.
History
The league was founded in 1992 as the Cambridgeshire Girls' Football League. It was renamed the Cambridgeshire Girls and Women's Football League in 2005 to reflect the increasing number of women's teams in the league.
Structure
The league currently consists of 11 divisions, ranging from the Premier Division to Division 11. The Premier Division is the top division, and is played at step 7 of the English women's football pyramid.
The league also has a cup competition, the Alan Boswell Group Cambridgeshire Girls and Women's Football League Cup.
Recent seasons
- In the 2021-22 season, the Premier Division was won by Cambridge City Ladies.
- In the 2020-21 season, the Premier Division was won by Fulbourn Institute Bluebirds.
- In the 2019-20 season, the Premier Division was won by Cambridge City Ladies.
