Air Asia Under 10s
The Air Asia Under 10s is an amateur football league for boys and girls aged 10 and under. It is organized by Air Asia, a Malaysian low-cost airline. The league is played in Malaysia and Singapore.
History
The Air Asia Under 10s was first launched in 2012. The inaugural season was won by the team from Kuala Lumpur. The league has been growing in popularity ever since. In 2023, there are over 100 teams participating in the league.
Format
The Air Asia Under 10s is a round-robin tournament. Each team plays each other team once. The top two teams at the end of the regular season qualify for the finals. The finals are played in a single match.
Rules
The rules of the Air Asia Under 10s are the same as the rules of the FIFA Under 10s World Cup. The following are some of the key rules:
- The game is played on a full-size pitch.
- There are 11 players per team, including one goalkeeper.
- The game is played over two halves of 25 minutes each.
- There is no offside rule.
- The ball cannot be thrown in. It must be kicked or headed.
