AF Viseu
AF Viseu is an amateur football league in the city of Viseu, Portugal. It was founded in 1922 and currently has over 100 clubs affiliated to it. The league is divided into four divisions, with the top division being the Campeonato de Elite.
History
AF Viseu was founded in 1922 by a group of local football enthusiasts. The league started with just a few clubs, but it has grown steadily over the years. In 1978, the league was divided into four divisions for the first time.
AF Viseu has produced a number of talented players over the years, including Paulo Bento, who went on to play for Portugal's national team. The league also has a strong youth development program, which has helped to produce many talented young players.
Current Season
The current season of AF Viseu is the 2022-2023 season. The Campeonato de Elite is currently being led by Sporting de Viseu, with Académico de Viseu in second place. The bottom two teams at the end of the season will be relegated to the 1ª Divisão.
