Accrington Combination Football League
The Accrington Combination was a football league in England, founded in 1888. It was one of the earliest football leagues in the world, and was one of the founding members of the Football League in 1888-89.
The league was based in Accrington, Lancashire, and consisted of teams from the surrounding area. The first season of the league was won by Accrington Stanley, who also won the inaugural Football League title.
The Accrington Combination was disbanded in 1892, after the Football League expanded to include more teams. However, the league's legacy lives on, as it was one of the most important early football leagues in England.
