Accrington & District Combination
The Accrington & District Combination is an amateur football league in the English county of Lancashire. It was founded in 1903 by a group of clubs in the Accrington area.
History
The inaugural season of the Accrington & District Combination saw nine teams compete, with Great Harwood Town winning the title. The league has been played continuously since then, with the exception of the years during the First and Second World Wars.
The league has been won by a variety of clubs over the years, with Accrington Stanley, Accrington Town, and Rossendale United being the most successful teams. The current champions are Black Dog, who won the title in the 2021-22 season.
Current Season
The 2022-23 season of the Accrington & District Combination is currently underway. There are 14 teams competing in the league, with the top two teams at the end of the season being promoted to the North West Counties League Division One.
