Introduction
The 'A' Regional is an amateur football league in Bulgaria. It is the third tier of the Bulgarian football league system, below the First League and the Second League.
The league was founded in 1962 and is currently composed of 28 teams, divided into 14 groups. The teams play each other twice, once at home and once away. The top two teams in each group are promoted to the Second League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the B Regional.
Promotion and relegation
The top two teams in each group of the 'A' Regional are promoted to the Second League. The bottom two teams in each group are relegated to the B Regional.
Current season
The current season of the 'A' Regional is the 2022-2023 season. The season began on 11 September 2022 and is scheduled to end on 28 May 2023.
The current champions are FC Hemus 90 from Veliko Tarnovo.
