Introduction
The A League is an amateur football league in the Netherlands. It is the highest level of amateur football in the country, and is made up of 34 teams divided into a Saturday and Sunday league, each containing 18 teams.
The league was founded in 2016, and is currently sponsored by Derde Divisie. The champions of the Saturday and Sunday leagues compete for the overall title of national amateur champion.

Structure

The bottom two teams from each league at the end of the season are relegated to the Tweede Klasse, the third tier of amateur football in the Netherlands.
