2020-2021 Amateur Football League
The 2020-2021 Amateur Football League was the 120th season of the Amateur Football Combination (AFC), one of the biggest adult football leagues in Europe. The season ran from September 2020 to May 2021.
Premier Division
The Premier Division was the top tier of the AFC in 2020-2021. It was won by Old Hamptonians, who finished 13 points clear of second-placed Old Wokingians.
Division 8 South
Division 8 South was the lowest tier of the AFC in 2020-2021. It was won by Pembroke Old Boys, who finished 17 points clear of second-placed Wandsworth Borough 6th.
Impact of COVID-19
The 2020-2021 season was heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The season was delayed by two months, and many matches were postponed or played behind closed doors.
The AFC also introduced a number of new rules to help protect players and officials from the virus. These included social distancing measures, mandatory face masks, and regular testing.
