With less than a month until the start of Serie A 2024/25 Fixtures, the crowning champions, Inter, are still the big favourites, but who’s there to stop them?

After the summer disappointment provoked by Italy’s heartbreaking performance at Euro 2024, the Tifosi turned their eyes toward their beloved Serie A teams. Still in the middle of the transfer market moves, the Top 7 teams already have an idea of how their squads will look in a month.

Inter is the bookmakers’ favourite

We might have a difficult time providing serious Serie A predictions for the next season, but the bookmakers have figured it out. Looking at the outright Serie A betting odds, the current champions are the big favourite to win it again.

Serie A outright betting odds:

  • Inter Milano - 1.80

  • Juventus - 5.00

  • AC Milan - 7.50

  • Napoli - 9.00

  • Atalanta - 25.00

  • AS Roma - 31.00

  • Lazio - 75.00

Looking at these Serie A odds, Inter seems to have built a big gap between itself and its rivals. Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli are next in line, with Atalanta, AS Roma and Lazio looking subdued to fight for a Champions League place.

But if recent history can help us, we can see that in the previous four seasons, the same champion hasn’t been twice in a row. So, any Serie A betting tips announcing Inter as the queen of the Serie A 2024/25 season should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Inter reinforced its squad for free

While other rivals invested millions in deepening their squad, Inter managed to attract two important players for free: Piotr Zelinski from Napoli and Mehdi Taremi from FC Porto.

At the same time, Juventus had already spent 80 million euros signing, among other things, Marcus Thuram’s little brother, Khepren.

Notable Serie A Transfers:

  • Inter: Zielinski (Napoli - Free), Taremi (FC Porto - Free);

  • AC Milan: Morata (Atletico Madrid - 13 mil. €);

  • Juventus: Douglas Luiz (Aston Villa - 50 mil. €), K. Thuram (Nice - 20 mil. €);
