Burton Junior Football League
The Burton Junior Football League (BJFL) is a football league for children aged 5-16 years old in the Burton-upon-Trent area.
The league was founded in 1988 and currently has over 300 teams participating.
Season Structure
The BJFL season runs from September to April. Each team plays 12-14 matches during the season, with the top teams in each division qualifying for the playoffs.
The league also has a cup competition, the Burton Junior Cup, which is open to all teams in the league.
Divisions
The BJFL has a total of 10 divisions, divided by age and ability. The divisions are:
- Mini Soccer (5-7 years old)
- Junior Soccer (8-9 years old)
- 9v9 Soccer (10-11 years old)
- 11v11 Soccer (12-13 years old)
- Under 14s
- Under 15s
- Under 16s
